PEMBERTON  is

• A self taught painter whose work reflects an interest in the male body and fantasy   themes. His subjects range  from the sacred to the profane.  He works primarily in oil on canvas, developing his themes by researching cultural images of different places and eras. He does preparatory works on  paper as studies for the paintings. Many of the canvases have layers of images on  them, which he has reworked for years until he is satisfied  by them.
